Creating presentations in PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint(full name - Microsoft Office PowerPoint) - a program for creating and conducting presentations which is part of Microsoft Office and is available in editions for Microsoft Windows operating systems and Mac OS.

History
Idea appeared PowerPoint Bob Gaskins (Bob Gaskins), student, UC Berkeley, who decided whichever is the age of graphic interactive materials. In 1984, Gaskins joined a failure of the company Forethought and hired a developer, Dennis Austin (Dennis Austin). Bob and Dennis have joined forces and created a program Presenter. Dennis created the original version of the program with Tom Rudkinym (Tom Rudkin). Later, Bob decided to change the name on the PowerPoint, and which became the name of the final product.

In 1987 he went PowerPoint 1. 0 for the Apple Macintosh. He worked in black and white. Soon there were color and the new Macintosh version of PowerPoint is not long in coming. Program direction with the first edition was unique. It was a blue book in hardcover. Company Forethought believed it is better than a lot of executable files on the computer help and instruction in electronic form. But the update instructions were unnecessarily expensive. The idea of these books was soon abandoned.

Later, in 1987, Forethought and its product have been bought by Microsoft for 14 million $. In 1990, the version released for Windows. C 1990 PowerPoint has become the standard in the suite Microsoft Office.

In 2002 a version of PowerPoint, which not only been included in the package Microsoft Office XP, but also distributed as a separate product. Compatibility
PowerPoint is part of Microsoft Office. This has allowed PowerPoint to become the most common worldwide program for creating presentations.
